Based on popular demand, the Yucca Valley Film Festival is extending its call for entries for an additional 12 days.

Originally scheduled to close on September 15, the submission process is exceptionally being extended this year to accommodate international talent and local filmmakers still looking forward to being considered for the 8th edition of the festival.

Local artists can submit for free, while filmmakers based in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties benefit from substantial submission discounts.

Every year, the YVFF distributes approximately 12 to 17 awards, recognizing high level talent across multiple categories and formats. The festival also offers a total of $2,500 in prize money, presented by the Town of Yucca Valley, which is distributed among most winners each year.

The new final deadline is September 28, 2026. The tentative official selection announcement is pre scheduled for October 11.
