The countdown is on. With just a couple of weeks to go before entries close, the Yucca Valley Film Festival has once again landed among FilmFreeway’s Top 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals in the World, marking the 18th time YVFF has earned a place on the list (yes we did not post about the 17th time but it happened ^^).

The recognition comes as YVFF enters the final stretch of its call for entries for the 2026 edition. The deadline to submit is September 15.

Selected filmmakers will join us in Yucca Valley November 6–8, 2026, for three days of independent film, filmmaker connections, industry programming and experiences that go well beyond the traditional festival screening.

This year’s edition will feature the longest red carpet in the Hi-Desert, the return of the State Farm Interview Booth, a special visit to an active Western film set, industry and filmmaker events, screenings, awards and more.

The YVFF will also soon announce two new grants exclusively reserved for filmmakers previously selected by the Yucca Valley Film Festival.

For us, this is what makes YVFF different. The festival is not simply about putting films on a screen. It is about creating a place where filmmakers can meet audiences, discover other artists, find future collaborators and make connections that can extend far beyond one weekend in Yucca Valley.

The continued recognition from filmmakers through FilmFreeway’s has consistently ranked the YVFF among the top 1% of reviewed film festivals worldwide over the past four years. The list is compiled from more than 14,000 film festivals and events on the platform.
