The online magazine Film Debates announced that the YVFF will unveil a brand new 20-foot red carpet this year, stating “The Yucca Valley Film Festival definitely is the only festival in the Hi-Desert that brings that kind of rizz”.
The article, which uses a picture from last year’s “State of Hollywood” debate as its cover image, lists the red carpet experience and the curated program as the main attractions of the event, including the movie premieres that we are able to secure year after year.

This year’s opening night (free tickets here) will include the festival premiere of Will and Silence, a documentary by local talent Robbi Robb dedicated to the late Bobby Furst, capturing Furst’s final metal sculpture creation.
Another movie announced by Film Debates is Milk Baby, that will screen on Saturday evening, directed by Kristen Gerweck Diaz, a filmmaker who previously made it to the Academy Awards selection in the Short Film category. Both directors will be in attendance at the festival this year.
