Documentary filmmaker and YVFF 2024 winner Janey Hann will host this year’s new attraction, the Red Carpet Interview Booth, during the Yucca Valley Film Festival.

The booth, sponsored by our local State Farm Agent Marianne Fenley, will welcome filmmakers, community leaders, business owners, and basin stakeholders for live interviews broadcast on Facebook and YouTube.

The Opening Red Carpet is scheduled for Friday, November 7, from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and the Closing Red Carpet will take place on Sunday, November 9, from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

Janey is not new to the festival as she received a YVFF award last year for the documentary Koroneburg, where she served as both journalist and on-screen lead.

On top of her documentary career, Janey is an accomplished stunt performer, with credits including WandaVision starring Elizabeth Olsen, L.A.’s Finest alongside Jessica Alba, and S.W.A.T. with Shemar Moore.

Janey will be our  Meet & Greet guest on Saturday, November 8, at 6 p.m. on the main stage to share anecdotes and offer a peek behind the scenes of her experiences on these sets.
