Immensely talented and famous cinematographer John Stanier, honorary member of the BSC, will give an exclusive Masterclass in Yucca Valley during the festival.

John Stanier is an Emmy and Clio Awards winner.
He started his career as camera assistant and camera operator on movies like MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (Columbia Pictures, 1978), MONTY PYTHON’S LIFE OF BRIAN (1979), PINK FLOYD: THE WALL (MGM / United Artists 1982).



His first major job as a director of photography was on Lee Marvin’s THE DIRTY DOZEN: NEXT MISSION, directed by Andrew V. McLaglen for MGM in the mid 80’s.
In a couple years span he worked with Charles Bronson, when photographing DEATH WISH 3, and Rob Lowe in OXFORD BLUES.



In 1987, after several cinematographers gave up on the set of RAMBO 3, he steps and completes the movie, being the only and final director of photography credited to the movie to this date.

John also directed and photographed many award winning, groundbreaking commercials for the biggest brands in the world.
