Yesterday night in Joshua Tree, the YUCCA VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL was named CULTURAL CONTRIBUTOR OF THE YEAR by the Basin Wide Foundation.
Sue Earnest, Community Services Manager for the Town of Yucca Valley, and Matt Beurois, festival founder, were presented with the award, as well with recognitions from the Senate, the Congress and the County.



The Basin Wide Foundation selected the Yucca Valley Film Festival “Cultural Contributor of the Year” in the Hi-Desert, on Thursday August 24th, during their annual dinner in Joshua Tree, at the Helen Gray Education Center.
The trophy was presented by 29 Palms Mayor McArthur Wright to festival director Matt Beurois and Yucca Valley Community Services Manager Susan Earnest.
The award came with official recognition from the United States Congress by Congressman Jay Obernolte, from the California State Senate by Senator Shannon Grove, and from the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors by Chair Dawn Rowe.
