The YVFF just wrapped its 7th edition, and more than ever, it was all a community celebration.

The festival’s directors Matt & Auregan (and their puppy child Bayou) bring extensive experience in film production and event planning, having worked with Sharon StoneWalker Hayes to name just two.

This year, the festival social media strategy moved beyond basic promotion to a more immersive approach, centered on vertical reels for Instagram, then shared across YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels.

The series showcased the festival as it truly is—unfiltered and genuine.

Every video was produced and edited by Auregan, co-director of the festival, capturing the community spirit and human scale of the event. Her work highlighted authentic moments of participation and connection, driving engagement across all platforms from early announcements to the final recap.

The series of videos, part of the “A Celebration of Community” campaign, generated over 100,000 organic views on Instagram, boosting the festival’s digital presence and engagement by 1,635%.
